Pair Family // Day In The Life 2013 // Family Session

We are blessed to have captured the Pair family for the third year in a row! We have watched this little family grow from one daughter to two beautiful daughters. We can't wait to see what this year holds for them! See their journey for the past few years.

The Darling Family

Back in April, our friend Camille started raising money for a trip to China to work with Show Hope at an orphanage. Matt and I immediately knew we wanted to donate a Day In The Life session with all proceeds going towards Camille's expenses. Once we all started talking about it, Amanda graciously decided to donate a photography session with the Day In The Life. Amanda posted the information on her blog, and before I could even make the post on our blog, I had already received a phone call to book the session! And that's when the awesomeness began happening ... First, a little about Show Hope. It is a "movement to care for orphans." Show Hope's mission is two-fold. One, they care for orphans in China with special needs. Two, they provide adopting families financial assistance through adoption grants.

Now back to the phone call ... the Darling family called and wanted to book the session. As we began to talk, I learned they had adopted their son Cohen from Ethiopia with the assistance of a Show Hope grant. They wanted to give back to Show Hope and to document this time in their family's life. How awesome!! Everything came full circle. The Darlings, without a doubt, were the perfect family for this donated session!

Fast forward through the super hot summer to mid-September. The Darling family drove down from Kentucky for their session. After many emails back and forth, we were so excited to finally meet them! We met up with them at the hotel to capture them getting ready. We were greeted at the door by this adorable boy with a huge smile on his face. Yep, it was going to be a great day!

We met up with Amanda at the park, so she could get some great shots of the family. Here's a little sneak peek and one more. We were warned to wear our running shoes because Cohen was all boy and was a non-stop two year old. I think we held our own and documented him being himself.

After the session, we took them to one of our favorite places to eat before they headed home. It was an amazing session. Thanks Darlings for donating to Show Hope and letting us meet your adorable family. We have been blessed!
