n early August, we heard about a challenge Stillmotion was doing (and shortly after met Noah Galloway). Matt and I read over the details and quickly accepted. We are aways looking for something outside of "everyday work" to challenge us to be better filmmakers and storytellers. Stillmotion's Big Shorts Challenge was just what we needed to push us to think differently and creatively. Before we continue on our experience being part of this challenge, you HAVE to watch our submission. There will be a few spoilers below the video.
The Pointe Ball is held annually to benefit the Alabama Ballet. It was an evening of cocktails, dinner and of course, dancing! Kathy G and her team did an amazing job transforming Saks Fifth Avenue into the beautiful black and white world of Swan Lake. They not only transformed a department store into a venue fit for a ball, but they also had make-shift kitchens set up behind the scenes. Kathy gave us a sneak peek behind the scenes to see what it took to pull this off.
Kathy shared three tips for throwing a memorable party.
- Food. If you have ever eaten a bite from Kathy G, you know she has nailed the food. And if you haven't, you must change that.
- Fun. After an amazing meal and lots of laughter, the guests danced the night away to a live band.
- Fabulous. The setting must be fabulous. This event proves that your imagination is the limit when creating a fabulous setting for a party.
