InFocus 2012 | What Does That Mean For You?

{The view from our room.} Last week, Matt and I traveled to Charleston, South Carolina to attend InFocus 2012. InFocus is a chance to learn from best in the business, but it's also so much more than that. This was our first year to attend and the experience was beyond anything we ever imagined. The chance to not only learn, but also to have conversations with people we have admired for years.

What does this mean for you?

  • Our studio is dedicated to education. We are not satisfied with simply being "good enough." We strive to continuously grow each day.
  • Our clients are the most important part of our studio. We care about making your experience and film exceptional. You are not simply a client, you become part of the Hampton Road family.
  • We are energized and excited to tell your stories.

What does this mean for us?

  • We had the opportunity to learn from the best in the world. The speakers shared their experience and knowledge, which pushes us to grow, change, and evolve.
  • We have new talented friends all over the US. We have people to bounce ideas off of, learn from and help us out in a pinch.
  • We got to step away from the office a few days. We are the luckiest people in the world to get to work together doing something we love every day. But sometimes, you need to head to a karaoke bar with a bunch of filmmakers and laugh (in between discussing business).

A huge thank you to the InFocus team for all of their hard work year-round, the presenters for sharing their knowledge, and the attendees for being so open and honest.

Check out the awesome video of the conference by Jose Ortiz Films. Oh, and I even made it into the film, did you see me?
