Katie + Hagan | Nashville, TN Wedding

Katie and Hagan were married on a very special weekend for us ... our anniversary weekend. Weddings are so special to us and to film one on our anniversary eve was a treat. Seeing them exchange vows took me back seven years to a little church in Ty Ty, Georgia.

Katie and Hagan's friends and family traveled to Nashville for an amazing wedding weekend. Saturday morning started out with a huge storm, which turned into drizzle and then into a beautiful wedding day. The rain did not phase Katie at all. She was enjoying time in the hotel suite with her wedding party while they all got ready. They were excitedly reminiscing, talking about the wedding, and enjoying time together.

While the ladies were getting ready, Hagan and the groomsmen attended a cookout at a friend's house. The cookout was a great idea, since so many friends came in from out of town. Everyone had time to talk and catch up before the wedding. The drizzle did not slow down the cookout. There was lots of laughter and smiles.

The ceremony took place at Westminister Presbyterian Church. The way the light came in the windows during the ceremony was beautiful and perfect. Katie and Hagan were so sweet and happy during their vows. After their kiss, the guests erupted in applause. Katie and Hagan stood there enjoying the moment before they headed out of the church.

The reception was at Loew's Vanderbilt Hotel. We had peeked in earlier in the day, and I knew the reception was going to beautiful. I was still in awe when I saw how beautifully everything came together. There were so many unique touches that made the reception so beautiful.

I'll hit my favorites. The lighting was perfect. Lighting is something that is often overlooked, but it changes the whole look of the reception. In the video, you'll notice the beautiful patterns, silhouette and light flares caused by the lighting.

There was a break in the dancing to get a few group pictures of Katie's alma mater and of Hagan's alma mater. It was awesome to see their large group of friends together celebrating.

And finally, an idea I think all weddings should have, "going away" Chick-fil-a biscuits. After a long night of dancing and celebrating, the guests were handed Chick-fil-a biscuits as things were winding down. The Hampton's love Chick-fil-a! Even Matt made time for a biscuit, and he rarely eats at a wedding.

A couple of High Fives for some awesome vendors we worked with. Mary and Adam with Mary Rosenbaum Photography were great to work with. They even did a photographer's version of a Same Day Edit and had images from earlier in the day playing at the reception. And of course, Denise with Big Events was amazing! Her team was top notch and everything flowed without a hitch. If you're in the Nashville area, you need her!

We loved getting to know Katie and Hagan and wish them happiness!
