Dee and Jay’s first met back in high school when they were 16. Every step along their journey led them to Canterbury Methodist Church, where they were married on July 14, 2012. Dee looked gorgeous and Jay was handsome, but mainly you noticed the huge smile of their face when they saw each other. After the wedding ceremony, everyone headed to Vestavia Hills Country Club for the reception.
Our three favorites from their wedding …
Their first sight … Dee started to giggle as she came up behind Jay. As soon as Jay heard her giggle, he went from nervous to grinning. They were all grins and happy tears as they had a few moments together. And of course the wedding party had to sneak a peek through the windows.
Dee’s bridesmaid’s robes … The bridesmaids were all decked out in matching robes with their name’s on them. They looked so cute getting ready in their pink robes. I think the guys were a little jealous they didn’t have robes.
The reception … The reception had the three things that make a great party. Amazing food, fun music and tasty drinks. The food was delicious from the taco bar to the pasta bar to the mini hamburgers. After everyone ate, the rest of the night was filled with lots of dancing and laughter. The only reason the party stopped was because the band stopped playing. Everyone had a blast!
