Candace and Caleb’s love story began in Birmingham at Samford University. Candace and Caleb’s cousin, and groomsmaid, Katie were hall-mates. Even though they had met on several occasions, it was not until their junior year that some thing clicked. Then almost a year later, there was a romantic proposal that involved a photo book of their first year together and a Brittany Spaniel puppy.
Candace and Caleb’s wedding began at Second Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee with their reception across the street at the Walden Club. It’s going to be hard to get this post down to only 3 Favorites from the wedding, but I’m going to try …
Caleb’s Dad is a pastor and performed the marriage ceremony. It was so beautiful to watch him marry his son and his new wife, and to listen to the advice and scripture he passed down to them!
Candace and Caleb’s ceremony was a time of worship, prayer and reverence. At the beginning of the ceremony the guests, along with the bridal party, sang “How Great Thou Art” (one of my favorite hymns). As they lit their Unity Candle, their parents stood behind them. After the candle was lit, Candace and Caleb circled with their parents as their parents prayed over them and their marriage. This was one of the sweetest moments of the day!
Since the Walden Club is across the street from the church, Candace and Caleb decided to have a parade that lead from the church to the reception. All of their guests lined the street with ribbon wands. Then Candace and Caleb, along with their family and bridal party, were lead down the street by a bagpiper. The parade was a blast! After everyone passed by, the guests continued to cheer and fell in line behind them.
I’m going to add one more and make this the top 4 today! The reception from beginning to end was a blast. The band, Love, Peace and Happiness, kept everyone on the dance floor all night! The views of Chattanooga were gorgeous, Caleb singing to Candace during their first dance was so cute and they had donut holes and milk on the cake table. (Don’t you like how I squeezed a lot in at the end!)
Congratulations Candace and Caleb! We cannot help but to smile when we see you together, because you are both grinning ear to ear.
