Like many grooms, Jason was given the task of finding a filmmaker for the wedding. I instantly connected with Jason. After covering all topics from the wedding to movies to LOST (I miss it), I knew we were a perfect fit and I couldn’t wait for the wedding! Oh, and LOST fans make some of the best clients … just saying.
The whole wedding was breathtaking. Where do I even start?
The wedding was at Montaluce Winery and Estates in Dahlonega, Georgia. Being a Georgia girl, I always thought of Dahlonega as the ‘gold mining town’. As we pulled through the gates of Montaluce, I was in awe. It was as if they had taken a little piece of land from Italy and put it in Georgia. The drive to the winery takes you past Tuscan styled homes, row after row of grape vines, and beautiful landscapes. The winery and restaurant are both located inside a gorgeous building with a terrace overlooking the vineyard.
The theme of the day was ‘Old Hollywood’. Ann-Marie was a classic beauty in her silhouette gown and birdcage veil. She simply exuded the elegance of Old Hollywood. Jason was very dapper in his suit, which included a fedora and pocket square. Think Mad Men style.
The ceremony was very sweet. Jason promised to take walks with Ann-Marie and she promised to see silly movies with Jason. They also drew inspiration for their marriage from music lyrics. What speaks to the soul more than music? The two of them are so comfortable together, it’s a beautiful thing.
One of my favorite things about the reception, was all the different areas. There was the dining area, which was filled with people talking and having dessert. The bar area was filled with laughter and stories. From the photo booth you heard camera clicks, laughter and loud voices saying “come take a picture with me”. And of course as you peaked in, you had to laugh at some of the poses. The terrace overlooking the moonlit vineyard had tons of dancing. One minute, there would be a sweet, romantic dance and the next a dance-off. To say everyone was having fun, would be an understatement.
The upstairs Cigar and Scotch lounge took you to another Mad Men moment. The guys were sitting around with a cigar and scotch in hand. Perfect guy time, with some ladies hanging with them.
I could go on and on about this wedding. I’m sure as you watch the video, you can see why.
Ann-Marie and Jason, Matt and I loved being a part of your wedding. It wasn’t only beautiful, but it was also completely you. We had a blast!
Edit: So many people have asked us about the song we used. The song is Honey by Us & Our Daughters.
